WWE: 10 Superstars That Prove Wrestling Really Is A Travelling Circus

By Tommy Bobby Watanabe /

4. Chyna

She was known as the Ninth Wonder of the World ... and quite honestly, doesn't that sound like something you'd see plastered on a poster for a fancy traveling circus? Coming in at number four is none other than Chyna, who proved to be a main attraction for WWE and was marketed as such. She was so powerful, in fact, that she convincingly fought the men and was successful at it, much like her predecessor Mildred Burke, who actually got her start in wrestling by competing at carnivals! Fulfilling the trope of the circus "strongwoman," Chyna was also able to blend her dominant strength with striking beauty, most notably from early 2000 up until her WWF departure in November of 2001; She had the polished looks of a showgirl (proven during her first spread with Playboy Magazine) and the raw physical power of any man on the active roster during her WWF career (evidenced by her ability to bend bars on cages and bench-pressing men and women alike over her head). "Strongwoman" Honorable Mentions: Mildred Burke, Beth Phoenix, Nicole Bass, & Awesome Kong/Kharma.
