When you start your first day of wrestling school, it's important to realize that everything you've ever loved about the sport everything that made you want to pursue it as a career paved your way into the ring. It sounds obvious, but everyone's a veteran compared to a first-timer, and needs to be treated as such. Just as with the code of conduct, there are certain regulations to which a rookie must adhere around his seniors. An experienced grappler must be addressed with respect just like in the locker room environment, neophytes must make a formal introduction. This even held true when students of Storm's from previous sessions would come back to visit we would line up to shake hands. It's also proper rookie-to-veteran etiquette to offer up a seat backstage to someone with more experience. Lance Storm made sure we grasped all of these fine points.
