2. Who Is The No. 1 Contender For The NXT Championship?
This week's theme was apparently large Battle Royals. After Adrian Neville defeated Broadus Clay a couple of weeks ago on NXT to retain the NXT Championship, it was time to announce a new No. 1 contender. And, as mentioned, there was a large Battle Royal to determine who that would be. Controversy at the end of the match of course added intrigue. After a number of eliminations, Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd, and Sami Zayn were the final three competitors. And, wouldn't you know it, they all were eliminated by each other at the same time. Referees had no solution, and so Triple H appeared. Based on the crowd, he announced there would be a Triple Threat match to determine the No. 1 contender, who will then go on to face Adrian Neville at NXT Takeover on May 29.
