WWE: 10 Most Undeserving WrestleMania Wrestlers Of The Last Decade

By Heather Hickey /

2. WrestleMania 24 €“ Maria & Ashley (vs. Melina & Beth Phoenix)

Now I understand the need for comedy bits and naughty bits as a means of giving the audience a break between high intensity matches, but some of these "palate cleansers" are still undeserving of a spot on the WrestleMania card. For example, the Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjill match. Made "prestigious" and "hip" by the presence of Snoop Dogg (who advises on these special guests?), it was an embarrassing outing for all involved. The other Divas on the roster trail behind Snoop's pimped-out golf cart, gyrating with varying degrees of enthusiasm. It's a throwback to the Godfather and his Hos, many years past its expiry date (and somehow more depressing because those Hos are the likes of Mickie James and Victoria). While Beth and Melina could have put on a respectable match between the two of them, instead we have two Playmates inserted for the sake of "drama". At best, the Bunnies should have joined the other lumberjills at ringside, and witnessed a proper pro wrestling match. At one point, the stadium lights go out €“ a merciful glitch that casts Maria's efforts into the shadows. Alas, the lights come back on in time for us all to see her grind and make out hungrily with Snoop. Cheque, please!
