WWE: 10 Worst WrestleMania Matches In History

By Andrew Edkins /

In the build up to this poorly anticipated WrestleMania, WhatCulture has been picking holes on the worst of wrestling's oldest and biggest PPV with 5 Matches That Had No Place on a WrestleMania PPV and the 5 Worst Main Events in WrestleMania History. Now comes the pièce de résistance - the 10 flat-out worst matches to grace the grand stage. Many of the popular choices that people love to hate (incidentally a lot of them are Triple H main events) won't be appearing as, although monumental letdowns, they are not the absolute worst matches. At this stage I'd be tempted to say this year's event will see no additions, especially due to the Inter-Continental Title recently being bumped to the pre-show! This list does not feature any matches from the women (or 'divas' as they're known now) as frankly the majority of them could make up a list entirely on their own. Although Trish Stratus and Mickie James may have had a cracker in 2006, virtually every other female match has been dire - whether it is down to time constraints or simply horrific wrestling. And let's be honest, nobody is hoping to see a dissection of the Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill match. Well, except maybe Snoop Dogg/Lion. So which 10 horrors made their way onto the list? There was plenty of options out there (thanks Vince!), but these ten get the nod.
