WWE: 5 Worst Main Events In Wrestlemania History

wallpaper-wrestlemania-29 When you think of Wrestlemania what do you think of? Do you think of huge matches between larger than life Superstars? Do you think of quality storylines driving forward the WWE product? Do you think of unforgettable main events? Well despite being considered 'The Granddaddy of them all' and the biggest PPV of the year Wrestlemania has had it's fair share of garbage main events. After almost three decades it's to be expected that not all Wrestlemania main events are going to live up to an Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels marathon par excellence. Fortunately for you you don't have to sit through them all. No, we've done that for you. And after hours and hours of footage and hours and hours we'll never get back we've brought to you 5 of the worst main events in the history of Wrestlemania - and surprisingly none of them are The Rock Vs John Cena. Let's get started.

5. Triple H Vs Randy Orton - Wrestlemania XXV

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXEmYr3GZZs This match should have been renamed Triple Urgh Versus Randy Boreton! After weeks of building this feud excellently with Orton punting every McMahon you could think of before running into the brick wall that is Triple H, the fans watching at home and in attendance had high hopes for the main event of Wrestlemania's 25th anniversary. What they got instead was a sloppy, meandering mes that was voted one of the worst matches of the entire year. It seems madness looking back that The Undertaker versus The Heartbreak Kid wasn't the main event here - what a high point that would have been and a much better ending to one of the weakest 'Mania's in recent memory. Randy Orton later attributed the poor reaction to the match to the stipulation that if Hunter was disqualified or counted out, he would lose the championship, stating that the storyline called for Triple H to get retribution but he wasn't able to get it because "We weren't able to go to the extreme. If anything hurt us, it was that." Yeah, that and the fact they told a boring story.
