WWE: 10 WrestleMania 30 Main Events That Would Have Been Better Than Orton vs Batista

By Philip Frazer /

WrestleMania, the biggest show in the wrestling calendar, 'The Showcase of the Immortals'. This year's is particularly special as it is the thirtieth edition of the extravaganza. Now that the two main championships have been unified there is one main event, the Royal Rumble winner challenging the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Batista challenging Randy Orton. It almost goes without saying that fans were not happy with this as the choice to headline WrestleMania XXX. There has been very audible fan backlash, most notably at the Royal Rumble event. It has been so loud and frequent that the company have had no choice but to turn the triumphant returning hero Batista into a heel instead and make an unheard of heel versus heel main event on paper with the premise that Daniel Bryan will be inserted into the championship match if he can defeat Triple H at WrestleMania, but on the official line-up it remains Orton and Batista. Here we take a look at what better options there were to close the milestone WrestleMania. It must be noted though that these are realistic match-ups only, so no matter how much we would like to see it people like Dolph Ziggler are excluded. These are all matches for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as the unified belt should close the show so no Streak matches are present either.
