At one point, WWE pushed Sheamus as if he was the company's no. 2 babyface. That feels like a long time ago. While The Celtic Warrior still gets a decent reaction from the crowd, he's been far surpassed in popularity by Daniel Bryan, the man he once beat at WrestleMania XXVIII in 18 seconds. Last year, Sheamus was in a six-man tag match against the red-hot Shield. The group was still undefeated at the time, and it seemed possible that Sheamus and his unruly alliance with Randy Orton and The Big Show could be the ones to end their streak. To set up the match, there was a pretty lengthy storyline with the three battling one another, yet trying to get on the same page. Finally, they put aside their differences in order to stop The Shield. But in the end, they didn't get the job done. This year, it looks like Sheamus is going to be taking on Christian. The problem is, we've seen them wrestle so many times for free in the past, who wants to pay for the privilege of watching it now? We just saw Sheamus defeat Christian cleanly on Raw, so a rematch feels pointless. The match just seems thrown together, because the two are longtime employees who didn't have anything else going on so WWE decided to toss them together. Despite the fact that they're both former World Heavyweight Champions, there's nothing interesting about the storyline as of yet. If they have to fight yet again, can't they just hash it out on Main Event and not at WrestleMania?
