Like the healthy eating rule, the concept of meditation can be explained and interpreted in many ways, but Warrior keeps it simple: take some quiet time every day to reflect on your life. Focus on your breathing and try to nurture a peaceful feeling within. The idea of insulating yourself from negativity is a common theme in Warriors rules. And while I think some of his rules (especially when applied in such absolute terms) are a bit unrealistic and self-centered, meditation isnt one of them. Quiet time can often provide the perfect opportunity to put things in perspective, especially the negative things just as exercise can do. Giving ones mind a rest can be very beneficial. It allows time for gratitude to flow naturally into your consciousness. And if the mission is to find the genius within, meditation sounds like a necessary practice. When you give yourself time away from the chaos of daily life, you can better recognize what makes you tick.
