Before he began his wrestling career, 25-year-old Scott Hall worked as a bartender in a strip club in Orlando, Florida. And one night in January 1983, an incident occurred which left a mark on him that he's felt ever since. A customer allegedly got a little boisterous with one of the girls and was ejected from the club. Once outside, the irate customer proceeded to smash up the windows on cars in the parking lot, one of which belonged to Hall. Incensed, Scott went out to confront him and punched him to the ground. It then became clear that the guy had a pistol in the waistband of his pants, which he reached for. Scott wrestled with him on the ground for it, got hold of the gun and shot the man in the head. Hall was charged with second degree murder, but the charge was dropped on the grounds of insufficient evidence. Scott Hall would have his demons later in life, which this incident probably contributed to, and his troubles with alcohol and drug abuse are widely known.
