7. Double-Cross Of The Year: Triple H Pedigrees Seth Rollins

August 29's edition of Raw saw Roman Reigns, Big Cass, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins fight for the vacant WWE Universal Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match. After Big Cass was eliminated, Triple H appeared from out of no where, hitting Roman Reigns with a pedigree much to the joy of the crowd. Rollins would pin Reigns to eliminate him from the match, leaving just him and Kevin Owens remaining. Then, in a move that not even Owens knew about, Rollins' mentor Triple H turned on him, laying 'The Architect' out with a pedigree. Owens then pinned Rollins to become the second ever WWE Universal Champion.

Triple H turning on Seth Rollins caught everyone off guard and was one of the most shocking betrayals since Rollins broke up The Shield to join sides with 'The Game'. The likelihood of Triple H returning to WWE television to accept a Slammy is low. Despite claiming she knew nothing about it, it seems Stephanie McMahon will be the one accepting the award on behalf of her husband. Things between Rollins and Triple H are just getting started, with heavy rumours of a match between the two set to take place at WrestleMania 33.
