WWE 2K25 Superstar Ratings: 10 Biggest Surprises & Snubs
Over 300 wrestlers means a lot of raised eyebrows at this year's superstar ratings!

With WrestleMania season well and truly underway, it's time once again to indulge in digital grappling sessions with WWE's talent roster. 2K studios are once again releasing the latest edition of WWE's flagship video game to coincide with the hottest event on the wrestling calendar, and it looks like they're onto another winner with WWE 2K25.
Of course, no game is perfect. WWE 2K25 has received its fair share of slings and arrows in the reviews, but one of the first shots was fired from an unlikely source - the OTC himself, Roman Reigns. The former WWE champion was less than pleased to discover that he had been downgraded from a 97 in WWE2K24 to a 96 in the upcoming game, and cut a perfect in-character promo in response to the decision.
To be fair, with over 300 superstars making their way into the game 2K Studios were never going to please everyone. On the other hand, there are times when a star receives a higher rating than expected - stars like a certain Large Epsilon...
All superstar ratings come from the fine folks at Smackdown Hotel (the website, not the one just off the corner of Jabroni Drive).
10. Surprise - Big E (85)

To be clear, this writer isn't for a second suggesting that Big E's 85 rating is too high - if anything, the former WWE champion should be at least within touching distance of a 90. No, the surprise comes from 2K Studio's tacit acknowledgement that they screwed up with last year's rating.
In case you missed it, WWE2K24 gave Big E an insultingly low rating of 78 - a virtual slap in the face for wrestling's most famous meat-lover. It was a spectacularly mean-spirited move from the developers, as it felt like Big E was being punished for the horrific injury that broke his neck and derailed - maybe ended - his wrestling career.
Fortunately, this year sees 2K Studios make amends and bring the former New Day member back up to a more respectable rating. It's an attitude that extends to the rest of the roster (Asuka is still a 90 despite being on the injured list for almost a year), and it's unquestionably the right one to take.
2K shouldn't be punishing wrestlers for getting injured, they should be preserving their ratings in amber so we can remember them at their best.
