WWE 2K25 Superstar Ratings: 10 Biggest Surprises & Snubs
9. Snub - Baron Corbin (76)
Oh come on, 2K. It's bad enough that WWE inexplicably fired Baron Corbin last year - did you really have to kick him in the arse on his way out the door?
2K Studios are very much treading the company line with Corbin's low rating, as WWE lost more faith in Corbin with each passing year. Corbin's career path saw him go from retiring Kurt Angle at WrestleMania to being a non-factor in WWE programming (when your last TV match is a loss against Los Garza, you know you're on the outs with the booking committee).
Unfortunately, Corbin's downward trend had almost nothing to do with the man himself. His run on NXT alongside Bron Breakker was great fun, and the tremendous reaction he got at WWE Backlash last year showed how much the fans appreciated his efforts to improve.
It's truly unfortunate that WWE and its fans were never on the same wavelength when it came to Baron Corbin. When Corbin retired Kurt Angle in 2019, his 2K rating of 84 felt overly generous. Now, his (potentially final) rating of 76 is a poor reward for the hard work he put in over the six years since then.
Hopefully Corbin (now wrestling as Bishop Dyer) can show WWE what they're missing on the indies, and wrestling's biggest company can hire him back, push him properly, and give him a 2K rating everyone can agree on!
