WWE "Suspends" Ronda Rousey After SummerSlam 2022 Turn
Latest storyline developments following Ronda Rousey's heel turn on Liv Morgan.
Ronda Rousey fully turned heel at WWE SummerSlam 2022 (30 July), attacking Liv Morgan after another banana skin loss to the SmackDown Women's Champion at the premium live event.
Beaten by Morgan (who took the SmackDown belt from her via Money In The Bank cash-in on 2 July) in around four minutes, Ronda attacked Liv after the bell, then slapped the referee in an armbar to cement the angle. Interestingly, the promotion still lists her as a SmackDown babyface despite the apparent turn.
WWE has now announced a storyline fine and suspension for Rousey, who will miss this Friday's SmackDown as a result.

Following her attack on referee Dan Engler at SummerSlam, Ronda Rousey has been fined an undisclosed amount and will be suspended.
An irate Rousey attacked the official after her SmackDown Women’s Title Match, claiming he missed Liv Morgan tapping out to the Armbar while he counted the pinfall.
Due to her suspension, Rousey will not appear on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown.
SummerSlam was Morgan's first SmackDown Women's Championship defence since taking the strap from Rousey at Money In The Bank. Liv had claimed the briefcase and guaranteed title shot earlier that night, triumphing in the titular women's ladder match.
