WWE's 15 Hottest Stars Of The Summer Since 2001

2. Seth Rollins - 2014

With CM Punk gone and Daniel Bryan out injured, it was tough to predict which star would catch fire in the summer of 2014. But as soon as The Shield went their separate ways, it quickly became apparent that it would be one of them. Roman Reigns didn't do much other than feud with Randy Orton, and although Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose can both lay claim to the title of 2014's hottest summer star, it was Rollins who came out on the winning end of his matches more often than not.

Only weeks removed from his betrayal of his "brothers", Rollins became the new Mr. Money in the Bank and then engaged in a fantastic feud with Ambrose for the remainder of the summer. For a guy who appeared to be the "third wheel" of The Shield, Rollins emerged as a main event player in his spectacular series of matches with Ambrose and also improved immensely as a talker.

At SummerSlam, Rollins finished off Ambrose once and for all with a win in an exciting Lumberjack match, going on to become the top heel in WWE in the absence of Brock Lesnar. The future had officially arrived in the form of Seth Rollins.
