WWE: 5 Awesome Attitude Era Superstars and 5 That Sucked

By James Martinez /

...and 5 That Were Awesome.

Now that we got that out of the way, let's continue with the 5 Attitude Era superstars that were awesome. Keep in mind these aren't the main guys who make the usual list of top Attitude Era superstars. These are the unsung heroes who also had a great deal in making that particular era great, and epitomized what Attitude was all about.

5. Gangrel

If only for his entrance, Gangrel should definitely be included in this list. The dude rose from the ground within a circle of fire. Easily a Top 5 entrance. If the WWE didn€™t have an elevated stage during the Attitude Era, then he probably might not have made this list. However, he can also be credited for giving the world Christian and Edge as a tag team when they joined up with him to form The Brood. Their blood baths on unsuspecting victims were pretty epic. Then there was the spitting of the blood. Not many men dare to challenge Triple H€™s ability to spit a liquid from ringside, but Gangrel did. And made it look cooler. Hell, the guy was able to make a vampire gimmick work when vampires weren€™t even in yet. Even Kevin Thorn couldn€™t do that and this was after Twilight was brought into the popular culture€™s consciousness.
