WWE: 7 Divas Who Should Have Never Held The Title

By Heather Hickey /

5. Nikki Bella

First of all, it's ridiculous to think that Nikki Bella could mount any sort of offense against Beth Phoenix, who held the title in April 2012. Second of all, it's ridiculous to SEE Nikki Bella try to mount an offense during their title match on Raw. Her elbows to Beth's torso look about as devastating as a tickle fight €“ actually less so, if Beth happened to be ticklish. Everything about Nikki's work in the ring looked lazy or accidental. It was pitiful to see her win the title from a woman who grew up wanting to be a pro wrestler, and worked so hard to achieve it. That's not to knock Nikki's work ethic, but she is off-target when it comes to career choice. And the company was off-target to give her the duke over Beth. The Bellas have long worked in a representative capacity for WWE, often appearing together for media events and acting as emissaries during the Raw Special Guest GM era. The twins worked their magic no matter where they went, so why not make one of them the Divas champion €“ it gives her even more reason to act as face of the company.
