So as 2013 year comes to a close, we can look back at what has been a mixed year for the WWE. Like most years, it started off strong with interest peaking during Wrestlemania season and picking up again during Summerslam, with everything in between being forgetful and frustrating. They seemed to have dropped the ball with so many storylines (Bryan's title chase, Punk's pursuit of Heyman) and focused on some really cringe worthy plots (Big Show being bankrupt etc), as well Triple H feeling the need to put himself at the forefront at pretty much everything. With that being said, as it is Christmas and the time of year to be cheerful, here is a list of eight things WWE actually got right this year and reminded us all why we love wrestling.
8. AJ Lee Pipe Bomb
There's not been a lot to shout about this year in the Diva's division. The truth is there hasn't been a lot to shout about for many, many years. Yet, every cloud has a silver lining and for the Diva's division that silver lining is AJ Lee. Being the only diva with an actual personality and character depth, she told the entire cast of Total Divas, exactly what the rest of us are thinking; that she's brilliant and the rest are bloody awful. It wasn't quite up there with Punk's pipe bomb but it still was the highlight of another very forgettable year for the divas division.
