Ever since CM Punk left WWE the day after the Royal Rumble, speculation has run wild about when he could return. First it was before or at Elimination Chamber, then at Chicago Raw, then as a possible foil or counterweight to The Authoritys torment of Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania. Sadly, none of that came to fruition, but one possibility remained. The Raw after WrestleMania recently has become the show for huge shockers, whether it was Dolph Ziggler cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase last year or Brock Lesnars return in 2012. CM Punk returning would have fit perfectly and added a new, unstable element to the mixture as things move forward. It could have been a huge moment, either giving Bryan an ally to fight The Authority, or a new opponent who wants his spotlight. That didnt happen, and were now closing in on four months since Punk last appeared on WWE television. July is rapidly approaching, so unless WWE is saving Punk for a huge shocker down the line, it looks like he could be sitting on the sideline permanently.
