3. New Jack vs. Vic Grimes, Free Fall Scaffold Match - Grimes Is Almost Thrown Out Of The Ring
New Jack has a history of reckless behavior in the wrestling business. Vic Grimes was known to have heat with New Jack over a balcony dive spot in the original ECW. Grimes and Jack were supposed to fall off of the balcony together but Grimes shifted his weight at the last second and landed on top of New Jack's head, causing blindness in one of Jack's eyes and permanent injury. When the two met in a scaffold match in XPW a while later, New Jack made it his mission to get back at the man who injured him. The scaffold was placed ridiculously high above the ring, which was filled with tables to "break" the loser's fall. New Jack broke from the planned script and legitimately shocked Grimes with a taser before throwing him off of the scaffold. In the Forever Hardcore documentary, New Jack admitted that he tried to purposely throw Grimes onto the steel turnbuckle to end his life in retaliation for the ECW injury. Thankfully, unbeknownst to Jack, the scaffold was moved a few feet back and Grimes was saved by the top rope and thrown back into the ring. Grimes suffered numerous injuries, including a dislocated ankle, but his fate could have been far worse.
