He rips off so nice, he's in here twice! When WCW went out of business in 2001, Sting declined to make the jump to the Good Ship McMahon, ending up in TNA instead. And for most of the time, he stuck with his Crow style, sometimes ditching the facepaint for a suit for appearances with the Main Event Mafia. But in 2011, he opted to dial his personality right up to a more maniacal Sting, who was now dubbed "The Insane Icon". Well, that's what some Stingers said, anyway. The more cynical among us looked at the red paint around the mouth and said "Nah, mate, he's doing The Joker". The Joker, for those who don't know who he is (YOU PEOPLE SICKEN ME) is Batman's arch nemesis from the DC universe, and has been subject to countless portrayals in different forms of media in the 74 years since his creation. But his latest portrayal on film was by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight in 2008, and this seems to be where Sting took a lot of his influence from, with a little bit of Mark Hamill's Joker thrown in. And he had moderate success feuding with the likes of Hulk Hogan and the Aces And Eights (Sons Of Anarchy ripoff..... tv instead of movies, but still!) but gradually the angle lost momentum, and Sting is currently rumoured to be contemplating a WWE run. If he does finally make the jump, he'll probably appear under the Crow gimmick again: Joker just isn't as effective without a Batman
