WWE: 9 Guys Who Could Win Their First WWE Title In 2014

7. Cody Rhodes (The Future Is Now)

Young Cody Rhodes has been given the chance to flourish in a lower profile role of the authority storyline. In teaming with his older brother Goldust, Rhodes has found a way to keep his face momentum moving forward by putting on great showings against The Shield, Big Show & Rey Mysterio, and now The New Age Outlaws. Rhodes is one of the most skilled wrestlers in the company. His ability to go from technical wrestling to moonsaulting off a steel cage is something 90 percent of other wrestlers can't do. Cody Rhodes moonsaulting off the steel cage put Jimmy Snuka's leap to shame. WWE should never again show Snuka jumping on Muraco without acknowledging Rhodes. Naturally, the dream feud for Wrestlemania would be a retirement match against Goldust, with Cody emerging victorious and turning back heel in the process. The theory being, "If he retired his own brother, what would Cody do to someone he doesn't like?" Remember, last year one of the Money in the Bank matches was essential built around his face turn. The company sees something in him. He has the pedigree, the ability, and still has plenty of long term value. It's like Rhodes is everything WWE wanted Randy Orton to be, minus the douchebag image.
