It would seem that the Balor Club has been resigned to the bin of history. On June 22nd, World Wrestling Entertainment officially abandoned their trademark registration for Balor Club, with the status of the trademark now sitting at 'abandoned - after publication'.

Thus ends months of speculation as to whether Finn Balor's ascension to the main roster would see him re-establish the Bullet Club under a new name. From the moment AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows left New Japan Pro Wrestling the night after Wrestle Kingdom 10 the rumour mill went into overdrive, and when all three signed with WWE it seemed to be just a matter of time before the Club was reunited.

This turned out to be only partially true, as Styles, Anderson and Gallows find themselves known as The Club in WWE today. Finn Balor? He's still down in NXT, waiting to be called up to the main roster. There could be a number of reasons why the Balor Club didn't come to fruition, but from a creative standpoint the main one has to be the popularity of AJ Styles.

It is difficult to see Balor coming up to the main roster as a heel either. Head to WWE.com and pick up those sweet Balor Club shirts whilst you can.
