WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 15)

3. Oh. Hey Rikishi

I know, I know, the WWE Hall of Fame isn€™t exactly a €œreal€ Hall of Fame, since it all comes down to the power of one man, but still, can€™t we at least want to think there€™s a legitimate mainstream wrestling hall of fame out there? Yes, there are a couple smaller ones in The United States, but the most visible hall is WWE€™s whether we like it or not. Of course, there€™s a few members who were inducted who get a bit of flak like Koko B. Ware, but having Rikishi now in seems to drag down the barrier for entry as well. To be fair, the man had 12 years of employment in the company, which is a pretty hard thing to do. But to also be fair, Hardcore Holly had a 15 year run, and it€™s doubtful we€™ll ever see his induction speech. In baseball, you basically need a dozen good years to be considered for the hall of fame, is it too much to ask for five good years in wrestling for consideration? Rikishi had what, two relevant years? His heel run was a major flop, and his lasting legacy seems to be rubbing his butt in other people€™s faces! If that€™s good enough to get you in the hall, then clearly Billy Gunn was doing it wrong all these years.
