WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 20)

6. Save Flair For When It Counts

There€™s no doubt that Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He€™s also one of the most talented men to ever cut a promo. These days he€™s simply the best at making me feel really uncomfortable. Watching Flair with a live microphone is like introducing your significant other to your uncle who's had a little too much to drink. You just kind of cringe and hope he doesn€™t say anything embarrassing. I€™m sure Flair wasn€™t actually drunk on Raw, but the man no longer needs a drink to just act bizarre. I felt he was either two seconds away from taking his clothes off and dropping an elbow or sexually harassing Renee Young. Hulk Hogan gets saved for important moments on WWE television these days (well, except for the time he promoted the WWE Network on SmackDown), but his appearances generally feel big. Flair is quickly devolving into Sgt. Slaughter or Hacksaw Jim Duggan territory where WWE just randomly decides to parade him out and have us laugh at his increasing cartoonization. Flair now spends his time in the ring dancing around, laughing, yelling gibberish and flirting with woman 40 years younger than him. Oh yeah, he also claimed to have had sexual relations with the entire audience€™s mothers. Next time Ric shows up, let€™s hope he and WWE come a little more prepared.
