Not since the days of Bull Nakano has one woman shown such an incredible amount of devastating offense inside of a WWE ring as Eva Marie displayed this week on NXT! Did you see those multiple armbars? On October 8, 2013 Eva Marie had her in-ring debut. She was embarrassingly awful. There's just no other way around it. Nearly two years later, after starring in a terrible reality TV show, receiving personalized training, and performing lots of hard work, shes turned into a....well, not awful, but not even a mediocre wrestler yet. Go to your local indy show, and the majority of everyone on the card will have a better grasp of how to move around a wrestling ring than Eva. She makes Blue Pants look like Manami Toyota. Seriously, credit to her for actually getting better, but theres still no good reason why she was ever hired in the first place, or why she continues to look primed for being fast tracked to the main roster. With the talented Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte being called up, NXT needed to be replenished. Eva is not the answer. After her match, the announcers were in overbearing, obnoxious, desperate WWE style of hype that sounds good to them, but has nothing to do with reality. They told us how after her match shes now silenced the critics. Hopefully that line at least hurt their pride to have to say.
