The What? chant may be the most annoying thing in all of wrestling, but this segment deserved it. As soon as the words becoming official were mentioned in the writers room, the idea should have been shot down fast. Romance and wrestling, rarely ever works, and when it does (like Macho Man and Elizabeth), its because the two involved had great chemistry. Lana and Ziggler are two random characters on a TV show who are tossed together and told to make out. Scooby Doo and Snagglepuss would make a more convincing couple. Nothing between them gels. Lana is still dressed in fancy business attire, even though shes free to do what she wants, and Ziggler is stuck in the 80s. Besides his outfit, and love of hair bands, his way of speech sounds better suited for an episode of Saved by the Bell than a modern wrestling show. As he told the crowd on Raw I was making out with a smoking hot babe, so a win/win situation there. A smoking hot babe? I think thats a direct line that Screech used! Three really talented people involved in this love square, but sometimes its just not meant to be. Its better to have never loved than loved at all in this case. Time to kick out.
