WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 21)

7. All Fail The King

€œCan you believe it? King Barrett has been knocked off by R-Truth€. Cole exclaimed at Money in the Bank. Actually yes, yes we can, because Truth beat him two weeks earlier on SmackDown in two minutes! So what was the point of the rematch in the first place? When WWE decided that Barrett should win King of the Ring, the next question any of the writers should have asked was €œWhat then?€ If him jobbing to R-Truth multiple times was the plan all along, then everyone who put that down on paper should be fired! With Seth Rollins largely neutered by The Authority, Kane continuing his irrelevancy, The Big Show boring up the screen, and Rusev injured, WWE should be protecting Barrett, if for no other reason than they have no other choices for heels. This isn€™t happening. To further reinforce the point that the King of the Ring tournament is worthless, and that King Barrett is a big bowl of suck, WWE had R-Truth pin him again in a matter of seconds, shortly after he was wearing a blanket on Raw. Many fans consider Mabel the worst King of the Ring winner, but at least WWE tried to make his win matter. No wonder they only announced the tournament with two days notice.
