WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 22)

In 2004, TNA was picked up by Fox Sports. Sure, it was on a Friday afternoon on a lower tier network, but it was a big jump from their weekly pay-per-view business model. In 2005, they went to Spike TV on Saturday nights which was a huge move for them. A time expansion, and a move to Thursday during prime time were also step ups. Then things just kind of went to hell, very, very slowly, but quite consistently. The TV network that aired a €œreal life€ exorcism live, and is going to show a view from a train all day on Thanksgiving didn€™t want TNA anymore. Now, they€™re on their way to Pop, the former TV Guide channel. Do I even get that channel? Do you? I€™ll have to look into that. TNA was a lame duck promotion at the end of their time on Spike TV. To call them a lame duck now would be an insult to ducks that are lame. I just can€™t muster any excitement for this company anymore. The most entertaining thing about them right now is wrestlers from other companies doing a crotch chop in front of their headquarters in Nashville. I€™d love for them to develop an exciting new identity when they switch networks, but they haven€™t ever established one. Just be careful with your e-mails this time around, Dixie.
