WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 2)

7. AJ Lee vs. Alicia Fox: The Neverending Non-Story

One thing that consistently bothers me in WWE is how rematch after rematch is booked and no one really acknowledges that they€™re rematches. All WWE needs to do to to give the subsequent matches a hook is to have the loser cut a 15 second promo about how they feel they can do better, or how they€™ve studied their last match and know what they did wrong. Now the rematch feels fresh. Okay, so at a least a littler fresher as AJ vs. Alicia Fox is fairly rotten to begin with. Sadly WWE doesn€™t have 15 seconds to spare in their three hour Raws. They just give us leftovers and hope that we don€™t notice. This week on Raw, AJ Lee battled Alicia Fox for the fifth time in a one-on-one match on TV since September 29. That€™s five times more than necessary. Okay fine, maybe four more than necessary. It€™s just bizarre that WWE can€™t figure out any other combinations of matches than giving us the same singles match over and over again. Could Natalya not step in for a weeks for a program against AJ? Or Cameron? Wait...no, that€™s a bad idea. WWE has done this to themselves out of sheer laziness, and their refusal to give any thought to the Divas division is a disturbing trend that just never seems to get better. Unfortunately, unless WWE cuts back on their TV time (highly doubtful) or hires a bunch more women (also doubtful), we€™ll have to be satisfied with AJ vs. Alicia matches hitting triple digits in 2016 at this pace.
