WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 30)

2. I Was Saying "Goldberg."

WWE was asking for it. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with what you’ve been given, and that was landing on an episode of Raw in Minneapolis with Brock Lesnar the week after Goldberg’s return. Unfortunate timing to be sure. Fans weren’t going to boo the Midwest superstar, but WWE sure tried their damnedest.

Now with Brock having so few appearances to make, the easiest move would have been to not have him appear on Raw this week. Save it for the following episode. Instead, WWE tried to force fans to cheer Goldberg, and when that didn’t work, they just made Paul pretend that fans were chanting for him anyway. That’s when the revolt began.

The company doesn’t get it. Fans hate having things forced down their throats, and they hate being treated like idiots. WWE not acknowledging what was going on in front of them only made things ten times worse. Because of never learning that lesson, Vince threw a temper tantrum and called the segment off completely, which ended up making it one of the most embarrassing promos in recent memory.
