WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sep 28)

2. Main Event Cop Out

There€™s a lot of silly nonsense in pro-wrestling. And a lot of that silliness is what makes the sport fun. But Brock Lesnar isn€™t silly. He€™s a serious, scary man (well, if we can forget the time he lead a Mariachi band), and should be booked as realistic as possible. That€™s what makes him stand out. Having Seth Rollins hit John Cena with a gold briefcase that says "Money in the Bank" in large green in a Brock Lesnar match is about as silly as it gets. It€™s doubtful that many fans ordered Night of Champions except for the Cena/Lesnar match. Well, except for those who were hoping for Mark Henry to save America and stuff. However, every fan was given a crappy ending. Vince got scared. He couldn€™t possibly have John Cena lose twice in a row. Can you imagine what that would do to John Cena action figure sales? And as WWE reminded fans multiple times, if you ordered on pay-per-view, you paid $55. But if you paid $10, you€™d still get the same cop-out ending. What a deal! Even worse was the next night on Raw the storyline wasn€™t followed up with. We saw a terrible finish and we didn€™t get the next chapter. No Brock Lesnar. No Paul Heyman. Are they mad at The Authority? Are the plotting their revenge? Who knows? WWE didn€™t bother to tell us. It was all just a big F5 right to the heart, and the wallet.
