WWE Announce 3 Matches For Next Week's SmackDown
WrestleMania 36 implications a-go-go!
WWE has announced three matches for next week's episode of SmackDown, which (like recent editions) will be taped at the promotion's Performance Center facility.
The most noteworthy is a one-on-one bout between Drew Gulak and Shinsuke Nakamura. If Gulak wins that one, then Sami Zayn will defend his Intercontinental Title against none other than Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 36.
If Gulak and Naka are given some time, they should produce a mat classic, and the same goes for the Bryan and Sami one either on 4 or 5 April at 'Mania.
Elsewhere, Alexa Bliss will meet Asuka in singles action. There's a good chance this also carries some WrestleMania implications; should Bliss beat Asuka, then expect her and Nikki Cross to be in the mix for The Kabuki Warriors' Women's Tag-Team Titles.
Finally, The Usos vs. New Day has been confirmed. The winners of that one will face The Miz and John Morrison for the SmackDown Tag Titles at 'Mania.
WWE are working hard to create buzz for these empty arena episodes and give them some WrestleMania hype. All three of these matches have the potential to be worthwhile.
