WWE Announces ANOTHER Tournament...

... only they'll probably call it an 'eliminator', or some such nonsense.

For a man who supposedly hates tournaments, Vince McMahon sure does love tournaments. Perhaps he just dislikes the word? Anyway, with Kane legitimately out of action after suffering a torn Achille's tendon days prior to Extreme Rules, SmackDown tag team champs The Bludgeon Brothers suddenly find themselves short of challengers, so WWE have announced a tourn... er, competition, to name their opponents for SummerSlam.

The blue brand's General Manager Paige took to Twitter yesterday evening to reveal that over the following three weeks, a quartet of SmackDown's finest tandems will square off to earn a shot at the BBs in the Barclays Centre come 19 August.

No teams have been named as yet, but the usual suspects seem likely: The Bar, The New Day, Sanity, and The Good Brothers. Besides The Colóns, who are currently short of the injured Epico, the only other viable duo on SmackDown is Aiden English and Rusev. It might come as a step-down for latter as he's currently involved in a programme with WWE Champion AJ Styles, though a first round exit could help propagate the dissension between the Bulgarian Brute and his crooning lackey.

Festivities are set to commence this on this Tuesday's SmackDown in Evansville, IN. Can't wait.
