WWE Attempting To "Smooth Things Over" With Sasha Banks?
Is WWE trying to mend fences with Sasha Banks following release rumours?
Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri has reaffirmed his original report that WWE has released Sasha Banks, mentioning rumours that the company is attempting to "smooth things over" with the multi-time Women's Champion in the process.
Giri broke the news that Banks had seemingly been let go by the promotion in mid-June. This followed Sasha and tag team partner Naomi walking out of Raw's 16 May episode, leading to the then-Women's Tag Team Champions being stripped of their belts, buried on screen, and suspended indefinitely.
On Tuesday, Giri noted that WWE issued Banks her release, which would have ultimately been a Vince McMahon play, citing the rumours about attempting to mend fences as a potential reason for why the company is yet to acknowledge Banks' alleged departure:-
Here's what I know about Sasha Banks. She was released on June 10th and it came from Erika Schreiber, VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations.
As for why WWE has not said anything or removed her, the rumor is that leadership is trying to smooth things over

PWInsider reported earlier on Tuesday that Banks and Naomi were still listed on WWE's internal roster. Mike Johnson stated that within the promotion, their status had not changed - and neither woman had been cut outright.
WrestleVotes had corroborated Giri's original report on Sasha's release soon after it came out. With so much conflicting information still doing the rounds, it remains difficult to draw a definitive conclusion on the matter.
