The first PPV of the brand split era comes to us live this Sunday, as SmackDown Live presents WWE Backlash. The first Backlash PPV since 2009, AJ Styles will headline the show by challenging Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship, with many pointing their finger at the Phenomenal One as the man to carry SmackDown into the future.

The Miz will look to continue his newly found momentum with the Intercontinental Championship by defending it against perennial go-to-guy Dolph Ziggler, a strange opponent for what seems to resemble a brave new era for the classic strap. Meanwhile, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton will also face off, a year or so too late in the eyes of many viewers.

Two new championships will be decided on Sunday night too, as both the SmackDown Women's and Tag Team Championships will be won by their respective first champions. The former will be battled over by the entire ladies roster (minus Eva Marie), as Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Natalya, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella contend for the strap.

Similarly, the finally-heel Usos will face off against the Hype Bros. in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship tournament semi for the chance to face Heath Slater and Rhyno, with a contract on the line for the Red Dragon - as well as the new pennies.

So what is going to happen on Sunday night? Here's 10 things that should happen for sure.
