4. The Miz's Focus On Seth's Knee

It'll take some match to better Seth Rollins vs. The Miz as a pay-per-view opener in 2018.

Rollins has stepped it up a notch recently, and he's seemingly back to his best in-ring. The Miz is one of WWE's most consistent stars anyway, so it's hardly a surprise he was able to match Seth's intensity and help bring out the best in him; some of the psychology and logic in this one was like a nod towards classic IC Title matches of old.

Miz and Rollins saved their best for the final five minutes of the match. Right after Seth struck the ring post with his knee, the focus on that body part became the bout's story, and it was one even those in the nose-bleed seats could get stuck into.

Credit must go to both men for their selling. Rollins repeatedly collapsed due to the pain of his knee, and Miz looked like a pantomime villain by pulling several world-class facial expressions. The guy looked like a Scooby Doo baddie at some points, and that's a compliment!
