WWE Battleground: 10 Predictions That Will Happen

Does Seth Rollins really stand a chance of burning down Suplex City?

After a string of Pay Per Views which hit the WWE Network on a fortnightly basis, the long five week wait between Money in the Bank and Battleground has felt like an eternity.

It's been helped by the return of Brock Lesnar however, and with a roster which is fuller than it has been in some time, this Sunday's PPV features a lot of matches and a lot of high expectations (especially as what happens on the night will begin to set the stage for what's to come at the Brooklyn bound SummerSlam).

The card for Battleground is interesting, but only two or three matches really stand out as being important when it comes to the direction of the WWE and its top Superstars this summer. With more time to build up to the event than they've had for a while, will WWE Creative deliver or disappoint?

Here you will find just ten predictions for WWE Battleground. Some you might be expecting, but others could just surprise you. With a number of championships on the line, some are bound to change hands, while the main event is guaranteed to feature a swerve of some type. Can Seth Rollins survive his encounter with The Beast? Will Kevin Owens finally dethrone John Cena? The answers to those questions and more are here, and if they’re right, Sunday is going to be a great night…

10. WWE Don't #GiveDivasAChance...Yet

This past Monday night's Raw featured not only one of the greatest Divas moments of all-time, but quite possibly one of the best segments to be featured on the show this year. While it had been rumoured that Paige was going to be joined by two NXT Divas to help her fight The Bellas, the fact that a third was brought up came as a genuine surprise.

Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks are the shot in the arm which the Divas Division so desperately needs, but the formation of three factions has done little to indicate where things go from here. Triple Threat matches? Tag Team matches? A series of different and competitive matches on Raw and SmackDown each week to legitimize this part of the WWE roster and #GiveDivasAChance to shine? Here's hoping it's the latter.

However, as of right now, there isn't a Divas match scheduled for Battleground. To add one now would do the renewed division a disservice as it would clearly be a hastily thrown together match with no real storyline build up. A #1 Contenders Battle Royal might work, but it would probably be better to start fresh the night after Battleground and build up to something amazing in time for SummerSlam.

For that reason, don't expect a Divas match to be added to the card this week!
