WWE Battleground 2015: 10 Things We Learned

10. WWE Playing Long Game With Sheamus

It's been pretty clear since his return earlier this year that WWE are once again extremely high on Sheamus. Longtime fans will remember the horrendous 'King Sheamus' gimmick he was forced to suffer through after winning the King Of The Ring in 2010 (something Wade Barrett is also having some difficulty with), and his career has struggled to get back on track - certainly in terms of credibility with fans - ever since.

Thankfully, that all seems to have been washed away by the big Irishman's performances since coming back. A fresh new look and a run of fine matches against the likes of Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton have really helped, and at Battleground, the big man looked on top form in the opener against the latter.

Going down to defeat at the hands of an "out of nowhere" RKO from Orton, Sheamus is still in possession of the Money In The Bank briefcase, and this loss seems to indicate that the creative team are more than happy to take their time with things. This can only be considered a good thing, there's no need for Sheamus to cash in at the moment. In fact, is there really any need for him to cash in before WrestleMania?
