WWE Battleground 2016: 10 Things We Learned

10. There's Hope Yet For Breezango

There's no doubt about it, Tyler Breeze and Fandango were only placed together in a tag-team because the writing squad had nothing for them as individuals. Sometimes, that can be a kiss of death, a real indication of where performers are on the totem pole of importance. For Breezango, it could just be a blessing in disguise.

As singles stars, they were going nowhere. In actual fact, at one point it looked like Breeze (who only made his main roster debut late last year) would be shoved back down the ladder towards NXT. That could have spelled the end of his Raw or SmackDown dreams.

At Battleground, Breezango defeated The Usos in a tight, tidy match. Along the way, they actually looked like a unit, not just two guys shunted together due to a lack of creative inspiration. This win represents hope, hope that Breeze and Fandango could find a place for their act on SmackDown going forward.

Fans reacted well to the team, so who knows what they could achieve if WWE manage to resist the usual yo-yo booking.
