WWE Breaking News: Ted Dibiase Not Renewing Contract

By Matt Aspin /

Ted DiBiase, Jr. the son of the legendary Million Dollar Man has announced via a video posted on his YouTube channel that he is not renewing his WWE deal when it expires and fans should not expect him back on television in the meantime. DiBiase, Jr. is a third generation wrestler whose family includes the aforementioned Million Dollar Man, his brothers Brett and Mike and grandfather 'Iron' Mike DiBiase. Despite having the sport of kings ingrained into his DNA the former protégé of Cody Rhodes, Manu (remember him?) and Randy Orton says that his decision not to sign a new deal is not a leverage attempt to ensure a future push or more money as he has no intentions of returning to a wrestling ring for some time - if at all. Instead the former Million Dollar champion, who's biggest win was in a tag team match against Shawn Michaels and Triple H, will be focusing on his role as a father and husband something he feels is often overlooked by the men and women in the wrestling industry. It is believed that Dibiase, Jr. will continue crafting a name for himself as an actor after appearing in several WWE funded films such as The Marine 2 and his own successful YouTube show The DiBiase Posse. He is also heavily involved in charity work through his own non-profit organization, the Ted DiBiase Foundation. Although DiBiase hasn't been seen on television since appearing as a Lumberjack in the John Cena Vs Ryback match on the June 10th episode of RAW the news that the 30 year old would be leaving the company has come as a huge shock. Although being relegated to dark matches and almost jobber status in recent years the upside of Ted was undeniable and many saw big things for him in the not too distant future. WWE has not yet released a statement via dot com but it is expected to do so very soon.
