Despite WWE having previously announced a PPV for 12 December, it's now being reported that Vince McMahon's sport entertainment juggernaut will not be having a PPV take place this December.

This news comes from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio today, with Meltzer stating how WWE will not be running any December PPV this year. Instead, the company will be running two PPVs in January.

The first of these January events will be WWE Day 1, a PPV emanating from Atlanta's State Farm Arena on New Year's Day. Following that, of course, we'll have the Royal Rumble taking place on Saturday 29 January from St. Louis' The Dome at America's Center.

Originally, WWE had announced a PPV for 12 December at Rosemont's Allstate Arena. Those plans were initially changed to the TLC PPV on 19 December from a to-be-confirmed venue. And now, it seems like any December PPV ideas have been totally scrapped.

Of course, up next for WWE is Crown Jewel on Thursday 21 October. After that, 21 November will see the Survivor Series at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, and that looks to be it for WWE's PPV plans for 2021.
