WWE Champion Drew McIntyre To Address Positive COVID-19 Result On Raw
Drew McIntyre WWE Raw Appearance Confirmed To Address WWE Universe.
With WWE having confirmed earlier today that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19, the company has made a follow-up announcement stating that the Scottish Psychopath will address this issue on tonight’s episode of Raw.
From WWE.com:
“With the announcement of the WWE Champion testing positive for COVID-19, we can confirm Drew McIntyre will make his first comments tonight on Raw.”
Presumably, these comments will be pre-recorded and done from a safe environment away from Tropicana Field.
McIntyre is believed to be one of several wrestlers to have recently tested positive for COVID-19 following the holiday season, with Fightful Select claiming that numerous names across WWE, AEW and IMPACT Wrestling have provided a positive test result in recent days.
The current WWE Champion had previously been announced as facing Randy Orton in a non-title match to close out tonight’s Raw. While Orton will still be main eventing this week’s outing for WWE’s red brand, WWE is now weighing up who to put against the Viper as Raw goes head to head with the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship game between Alabama and Ohio State.
