booking of Brock Lesnar for next week seemed to indicate we would have had a Brock / Cena angle. That would have been the start of the promotion for Cena vs Lesnar at SummerSlam. Obviously with Cena not on Raw, that angle is made difficult and is probably better saved for a later week. The other option is that Brock puts down a promo which challenges Cena, who would then respond the following week. The big talking point about Cena's absence is that it could be a sign he's dropping the belt this weekend at Battleground. For him not to be on Raw is an indication that he might be involved in some sort of kayfabe injury spot this Sunday. Who knows, maybe even Lesnar turns up a day early and screws the Champion. We could definitely see a situation transpire where a heel like Orton wins due to a Cena injury, allowing the face to have time off the next night and the heel a chance to gloat. In some ways that scenario makes more sense for Cena vs Lesnar. That's a main event even without the title, it doesn't really need the prop. Randy Orton meanwhile needs all the help he can get, the belt would be better utilised if used to give some relevancy to a SummerSlam secondary feud.
