WWE Champion Roman Reigns Working EVEN LESS Than Planned In 2022

Don't expect 'The Tribal Chief' to preside over much television any time soon.

Roman Reigns will reportedly only appear on one edition of Monday Night Raw, as per the increasingly favourable terms of his new deal.

Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Reigns was currently only booked for the Madison Square Garden Raw on July 25th, which happens to be the SummerSlam go-home edition. He said;

“He’s never on RAW...almost never on RAW. The only time Reigns is going to be on RAW is the RAW from Madison Square Garden. That’s his only RAW booking. The only time the champion will be on RAW pretty much the whole summer.”

Reports emerged shortly before WrestleMania Backlash that 'The Tribal Chief' had signed a new and improved contract, after he commented at the conclusion of a house show that he may not be appearing in smaller venues much in the near future. This extended to Premium Live Events too - Reigns didn't feature on Hell In A Cell and was removed from Money In The Bank when the show was switched from Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle this Friday on SmackDown, marking his first on-screen title clash since securing both belts at WrestleMania. In light of the latest report, a TV encounter such as this feels increasingly more like a collector's item.
