WWE Clash Of Champions 2020: 10 Most Likely Outcomes

10. There Will Be A LOT Of Filler

It's not unheard of for any kind of wrestling event to feature a filler match or two to pad things out a bit and give the audience a chance to breathe between the high-stakes contests, but Clash of Champions is destined to be bogged down with them.

By its very design, it requires every single champion to compete at the event, regardless of what's actually happening in their lives outside of the PPV. It doesn't require old rivals to settle their blood feuds or new foes to finally dance, it just requires the champ to show up and defend his or her championship against anyone. And thanks to WWE's expert booking (lol), there is a lot of the latter going around on the Clash of Champions card.

The Raw Tag Team Championship match is an obvious offender because it's one rematch we never need to see again, but the SmackDown Tag Team Titles bout between the teams of Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro and the Lucha House Party also has filler written all over it, while Bayley is forced to face off against Nikki Cross even though she's feuding with Sasha Banks because the creative team aren't ready to pull the trigger on that one yet. This one may have an interesting ending, but the match itself doesn't feel earned. And speaking of not being earned, Zelina Vega's last-minute challenge to Asuka is the definition of filler.
