Former NXT Women's Champion Asuka is on her way to Monday Night Raw.

The story was leaked yesterday afternoon, and WWE confirmed the news on last night's show, when Corey Graves announced that Kurt Angle had sealed the deal. They then played a brief hype video, ending with "coming soon" appearing on the screen:-

Asuka surrendered her Women's Championship on last week's NXT, having suffered an apparent broken collarbone while wrestling Ember Moon at TakeOver: Brooklyn III on August 19th. Her reign officially ended at a record 510 days.

It's uncertain what will happen with her old belt, but Asuka's future now looks much clearer. NXT's William Regal announced she was heading to the main roster last week, with both brands "in negotiations" with 'The Empress Of Tomorrow,' and we can probably expect her to show up within the next few weeks.

Heading to Raw opens up the possibility of fresh matches against the likes of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss, whom she has never wrestled before, or past opponents like Emma and Bayley. Whatever happens, here's hoping WWE don't blow her undefeated streak in a two-minute loss to Alicia Fox...
