WWE has confirmed that Sami Zayn will challenge Roman Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at Elimination Chamber on 18 February.

Both men made the match official on Friday's episode of SmackDown. There, Sami blindsided Roman with an attack following Reigns' promo, and said his old 'Tribal Chief' was wrong to suggest he'd used The Bloodline to get ahead - Zayn then said he'd take the champ's belts before WrestleMania 39.

Reigns vs. (Royal Rumble winner) Cody Rhodes has already been announced for 'Mania, so it's unlikely Sami is winning in Montreal. However, the live atmosphere and the epic story between he and Roman should make it a memorable pay-per-view regardless of the challenger's actual chances.

Zayn's ongoing beef with Reigns and the rest of the Bloodline has been lauded as one of the best stories in modern pro wrestling. Fans and critics alike have enjoyed the saga, and there's more to come at Elimination Chamber.

Thus far, Sami vs. Roman is the only one-on-one match advertised for the show. WWE will flesh the card out in due course, and complete the fields for two planned Chamber bouts.
