WWE executive Nick Khan has told LightShed Live that the company is considering loosening strict anti-blood policies, but only during the third hour of Monday Night Raw.

Khan was asked about the recent incident involving Finn Bálor at WrestleMania 39. The Irishman was split open hardway during his Hell In A Cell bout vs. Edge, and the match was temporarily paused so medics could take a look at him.

That naturally irked fans, but it didn't really detract from the bout. Regardless, Khan admits WWE chiefs could hold talks with NBCU and other broadcast partners about potentially pushing the envelope during Raw's third hour (which falls during the 10-11pm slot in North America).

Khan did also say that they're "not anywhere near a final conclusion on that", but that it's definitely "a conversation point" within WWE circles. Triple H is apparently one of the driving forces behind this change, and is interested in tweaking company policy if it benefits the product.

However, the days of pro wrestlers being able to "blade"/cut themselves in WWE are unlikely to return. It seems this would only impact accidental incidents that draw some blood.
