WWE's 2016 Brand Split is now less than 48 hours away, and over the weekend the company posted an article on its website laying out some of the rules of the draft. Taking place on SmackDown's first live episode of the new era on July 19th, the draft will see all active superstars up for grabs, with a number of caveats in place.

As RAW is a three-hour show as opposed to SmackDown's two, it will therefore get three picks for every two the blue brand receives. All tag teams count as one unless a commissioner or General Manager specifies a single wrestler that they want from the team, and there will also be six draft picks from the NXT roster.

WWE also posted a list of eligible stars and tag teams for the draft, a list that excluded injured wrestlers and was also missing The Undertaker. One interesting note to take from the draft is that Kalisto and Sin Cara are listed individually as opposed to as The Lucha Dragons, and also that Paul Heyman isn't listed with Brock Lesnar unlike all other managers.

With further updates to come over the next 24 hours WWE continues to build momentum ahead of the draft. It's going to be an interesting couple of days, to say the least.
